THRESHOLD
The level of magnitude of a system process at which sudden or rapid change occurs.
The minimum-sized market for an economic activity. The activity will not be successful until it can reach a population larger than this threshold size.
(1) That part of a cave near the entrance where surface climatic conditions rapidly grade into cave climatic conditions. Not necessarily identical with twilight zone. (2) Slope or cliff facing up a blind or half-blind valley below a present or former streamsink.
